Gulliver’s Travels & Further Afterlife Drawings

IndePenPress are publishing a collection of classic novels for Kindle and paperback and I’ve been asked to produce some illustrations for these. The first to be published is Gulliver’s Travels. Having looked at some other illustration examples and being restricted to black & white, I decided to create some images inspired by woodcut prints. So the final images have this inky, messy, wood texture combined my pen drawings. I also wanted to represent the first person account of Gulliver by showing the images from his point-of-view.
